The New Companies Act - commencing early 2015

We just received an email from The Irish Companies Office today requesting people fill out a survey to help the CRO identify the best way to get information to people.

As discussed in our previous blog post, Irish Company Law for the 21st Century , the new Companies Act 2015 (companies bill) will require action from every company in Ireland.
  • There will be changes in filing requirements and changes in the forms used.
  • Changes to company types
  • Changes to the way charges are filed
  • There will be different conversion options and requirements.
  • Simplified private company features (possibility of one director companies, no need to hold physical AGM in certain instances, one page constitution replacing memorandum and articles etc...
Email received:
The Companies Act 1963-2012 will shortly be replaced by a new Companies Act. The legislation is currently passing through the Oireachtas. The Companies Registration Office is carrying out a survey to identify the best way of providing information to our stakeholders. We would be very grateful if you could fill in this short survey to help us with this task.
